From the moment we started my application, he was warm, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about the process, and that is something I did not experience at the many other lenders I previously worked with. He is patient, takes his time when researching, gives you suggestions on how to make your case stronger, and all his advice actually yielded positive results for me. Things can get challenging during this process, but with everyone's positive attitude and expertise, it makes the process much more tolerable. They definitely know what they're doing at Veterans United, I wish I would have found them sooner. They're very organized and meticulous about the entire process, but make it easy for you to understand and follow along. I would recommend Veterans United one thousand percent and then some. They were so communicative throughout the entire process. Never once did I feel as though I did not understand what was happening or lost. Any questions that I did have, they answered and were extremely patient. The entire VU team was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. It made me feel as though this was not my first time buying a home because it felt so natural. Double thumbs up.Notes:1 thing I disliked is a last day change to cash to close. $600 pest treatment catch put on me, but VU gave some credits on top worth 3x that. So, I’m pleased overall.1 thing I would do different is scrutinize the hell out of the initial estimate with every line item and understand how it aligns to the deal. That makes my decisions thereafter better informed. I did not do this as well with frequent late nights and not enough time away from work and the rest of the life transition going on all in parallel, and possibly suffered from it. Not a fun time for me, but glad for this team.
