I was scheduled to close on the first of the month. A week before closing I was told that the property was not approved for a VA home loan. We missed our closing date and I was bouncing around Airbnbs and hotels while working because I had ended the lease on the place I was renting. Telling the buyer up front if there is the potential for a waiver being need could give enough time for the buyer to mentally and financially prepare and create a time line that is realistic with the seller.
I can write a book about this process! But what I truly admire is that from the start, they calmed me! And made me feel like I was not alone and that I deserved this! That made me feel better than anything because I was feeling like my finances, divorce and bankruptcy would almost surely hinder the process! Torie Smith is professional! Determined and just a wonderful human! And definitely someone you want covering down for you! When I tell you Torie took care of me! I am not understating! Many many calls to fix a financial issue that could have hindered everything! Countless hours spent making sure my file was without any errors and underwriting would be good!
