My husband was in Alabama and I was in Texas but buying a home in Virgina should have been a major headache. But the staff at VA Home Loans made it simple and we were able to close on time.

Everyone did a great job of servicing my loan. Although the process is quite stressful and personally I feel like a criminal with all the imposed regulations. It's funny how the banks screw up and everyone else pays the consequence. I'm not sure how anyone person can correct this (it just happens to be the process). I just thought I would put it out here.

Our experience was great! I really got the feel that the whole team was working to get everything done. James was very friendly and professional throughout the process.As far as constructive feedback, the only real negative we experienced from your office was a hiccup at our closing, there was a small typo on all of the documents (name spelled wrong) which led to over an hour of delays while the lawyer tried to get the loan office to fix the typo. After a long wait, inexplicably your team was not able to fix it, so we just proceeded with the documents with the mistake on every signature page. I would ask that the Loan office work on whatever procedure is in place to respond to last minute problems like that at the closing.
As a first time home buyer I was very nervous about this purchase. The people at Veterans United Home Loans definitely made me feel very comfortable while they explained the process of buying a home step by step.
