Veterans United was a great experience. I would recommend them to any veteran who is buying a house. I will use them again if I buy a new house

This is the 3rd time we have used Veterans United to purchase our home. I wouldn’t consider using anyone else! Absolutely the most simple and stress free Lender I have ever worked with! 👍🏻

everything went outstanding !!! Thank You.

It’s the best loan to pick. I had a great team every step of the way. If u had to buy a home again I would choose Veterans United Home Loans. They always answered all my questions and keep me in the loop for any changes needed on my loan application.

The process of purchasing my first home was swift and smooth. any questions that I endured was answered with detailed explanation and the update of my process was as fast as possible. I never went wondering.

As a first time home buyer, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions throughout this process. Lance Hopper and his team went out of their way to make sure I knew what to expect through the process. I even had a family emergency during this process that put things on pause. The first thing that Lance said to me was take care of family and we'll still be here. Throughout this process, I did not just feel like another number with Veterans United. As a Marine, I have always had a mentality of "get things done"....but with Veterans United, they made sure I was prepared for the whole process.

Chris Hill from Veterans United was amazing throughout the entire process. Buying a home is stressful but a lot of that was alleviated by the team at veterans united.

From start to finish, my home buying experience was SHOCKINGLY easy. I felt like I was being taken care of. My entire team, and it's awesome that there was a team, were incredible. I was constantly communicated too. I felt like I was part of team. Veterans United carry's some juice too! Nobody wants to scam me because VU was representing me. I could go on, but I'm spending my first night in my new home.

Can’t get any response regarding my statement after refinancing. My $6k buydown has disappeared.

Hi Troy,
I’m really sorry to hear you haven’t been able to get clarity on your statement and that your buydown funds don’t appear as expected. I can understand how concerning and frustrating that must feel. That’s definitely something we want to look into right away.

The team was great. They kept me informed every step of the way and didn't mind when I asked a thousand questions. They made the home purchasing process smooth and easy.

I might recommend veterans united if I knew more. I have purchased several homes in my lifetime, but I have never, ever been drug through the ringer proving anything and everything about my life, my service, my finances, and producing documents to prove everything. I might have achieved a bit of a lower interest rate on my loan, but I had to pay $129.00 to dig up documents from the V.A. to produce proof of my service. I am 75 years old with an excellent credit rating, but I felt like I was a second rate citizen with serious problems in my past. I am told all these requirements were due to the V.A. If so, I feel sorry for our veterans who have to travel the same path. I will never attempt another V.A. Loan, and I would not recommend it to any one else. If Veterans United were not at fault, then I can give them a thumbs up for their efforts. Anyway, I feel abused by the process.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Gary,
Thank you for your service and for sharing your experience so openly. I’m truly sorry to hear how discouraging the process felt for you. Having to track down so many documents and feeling like you were being questioned at every turn would be exhausting for anyone, and I regret that it left you feeling disrespected instead of supported.
Even though some requirements do come from the VA itself, I know that doesn’t lessen the frustration of going through it all. Veterans deserve to feel valued and respected throughout the homebuying journey, and I’m sorry that wasn’t the case here.
My team would appreciate the opportunity to listen if you’d like to connect directly. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
